Just Perfect

Beachy Keen Property
Reviewed on 2024-07-15 by , SAMMAMISH, WA United StatesOverall good marks. On the down side, there was a yellow jacket nest in the Jacuzzi which prevented us from using it. The mattress in the Master bedroom is a disaster with both the left and right side having a permanent body shaped hole in the memory foam that destroyed any chance of a restful night. That should be fixed ASAP. Smoke alarm in the kids room failed and woke us all up in the middle of the night. Management was there to quickly attend to the issue the next morning.
New Favorite House at the Lookout
Reviewed on 2024-06-12 by , Kirkland, WA United StatesWe had a great weekend staying here. The kitchen was the most well furnished kitchen, for cooking, that I have experienced in 3 separate Lookout houses. Very clean and organized when we arrived. Great bedroom/bathroom setup. Only semi-complaint is that the patio furniture is very cheap and uncomfortable - would be an easy fix for such a nice home. Also, this is not a comment on the home itself, but I had trouble getting a hold of anyone at the front desk; took multiple calls each time I tried reaching out. For a house that can host as many people as this house can, 3 trash bags is not enough for a 4 day stay...just leave a full roll in the kitchen cabinets - this has been an issue at every Lookout house we've stayed at.

Reviewed on 2024-05-28 by , Sammamish , WA United StatesBatteries in remote didn't work, and had to replace it from xbox consoles. One of the burners in gas stove (with 5 burners) didn't work at all. Backyard's porch chairs are wet when we sit, and it would have been good if it were covered when not in use. Water in the shower wasn't hot enough. When asked for cleaners to clean the grill, we were told cleaners would have gone for their homes. It will be good to have on the site cleaners 24 hours a day, and also ensure everything works seamlessly without having the tenants doing anything.
There was a wait for 15 to 30 mins after 4 PM upon reaching this place due to low battery on door lock. This could have been easily caught as part of cleaning. Lighters didn't work. Had to call and ask for it. Grill wasn't cleaned, gas was empty, and didn't work. Though we cleaned it first but soon realized gas is not working too. Even with the new gas cylinder, grill didn't work. Finally, a new grill was provided to us. We lost lot of time here.
Batteries in remote didn't work, and had to replace it from xbox consoles. Three-Generation Family Vacation
Reviewed on 2023-08-08 by , Minneapolis, MN United StatesWe had a fabulous stay at Beachy Keen. The cleanliness was immaculate, the kitchen and bathrooms were so well-stocked, and the location of this home was perfect. The staff was so helpful when we needed additional amenities like more dishwasher detergent, etc. The only four-star aspect of my review is for the outdoor furniture, as it was a bit cheap and uncomfortable.

Good, Not Great
Reviewed on 2023-05-31 by , Sammamish, WA United StatesThe Lookout itself is nice, attractive, great pool and play area, close to town, but it is still a work in progress requiring you to drive through construction areas. Also, the houses are very close together so it feels cramped, and you get to listen to your neighbors on their decks.
Everyone left happy, and having a big house with a pool accessible is a nice choice despite the drawbacks of this house/development....I would have to debate if I would recommend it to others or if I would go back. And it is quite expensive.
The house is large enough for our 6 adults + 5 kids, but wow there are a lot of stairs! Nice, clean, well stocked, nice beds although not the most comfortable seating inside and out. Big issue in that one of the front windows on 1st floor kid's bedroom had no window covering...they tried to add a temporary one after we complained, but it was useless and we ended up hanging a blanket over it. Also, the temp control is awful...first night quite warm, technician came promptly the next day and "fixed" it but then it was very cold with no effective way to adjust it. Very disappointed about that, especially at this price.

The Lookout itself is nice, attractive, great pool and play area, close to town, but it is still a work in progress requiring you to drive through construction areas. Family wedding trip
Reviewed on 2022-10-14 by Nancy R. , Birmingham, AL United StatesBeachy Keen is a fabulous house! We had 10 people a couple of the nights, and we never felt crowded. The hot tub was great. There was no detail left off of this beautiful home. The weather was so good that we opened the glass wall every day, and we thoroughly enjoyed that! The kitchen was outfitted with anything and everything you could need to enjoy cooking while away from home. The view of the mountains was more obstructed than in the pictures, due to the growth of trees on the property behind the house.

A perfect vacation!
Reviewed on 2021-10-03 by Patrick S. , Seat, WA United StatesThe beachy keen was an excellent rental with killer views of the lake, a house with everything you need and a outstanding outdoor space led by the hot tub. Great location, amenities, lots of fruit flies inside
Reviewed on 2021-09-05 by , Kirkland, WA United StatesEverything is great but there were upwards of 80+ fruit flies when we were checked in. We had to do makeshift fruit fly traps and spread 6 traps through the main floor. So many bugs at night rendered using outside (hottub, firepit) amenities useless.
Great family retreat!
Reviewed on 2021-08-18 by Meredith H. , Snoqualmie, WA United StatesThis vacation rental is beautiful inside and out. My only "complaint" is that the furniture both in the living room and outside/patio is super uncomfortable. I think investing in new living room chairs that are deep and comfy and new deck and patio furniture would really make a difference! Otherwise the house is beautifully decorated and furnished.

Great house, awesome trip, but take care of the ants please!
Reviewed on 2021-06-27 by , WOODINVILLE, WA United StatesOverall excellent. Really nice house, time on vacation and view. The ants were really really bad though so we constantly had to try to get rid of them. The ant trap that the maintenance person put out on day 2 didn’t do anything to help.

Great house, amazing view, LOTS of construction noise
Reviewed on 2021-04-19 by , Gig Harbor, WA United StatesBefore booking your stay at the Lookout, read the fine print. There is a lot of construction as the neighborhood is quickly expanding and new homes are going up every where you look. To my surprise the noise began as early as 7am on most days we were there during the week which was really disappointing. The construction also increases traffic which makes it feel less safe for kiddos to be biking around. That aside, this home was really great. Amazing views, and comfortable living/sleeping areas. The kitchen was extremely well stocked so we didn't have to run to the store for coffee filters or ziplock baggies. The clothes dryer took a really long time (multiple cycles) to dry clothes and the hot tub heater needed to be repaired while we were there. The top oven made an odd noise when both ovens were in use which we lived with but was, strange. I'd stay in this home again - but won't be visiting the Lookout again until the building has subsided substantially.

Excellent family vacation home
Reviewed on 2020-10-19 by Meredith A. , Kirkland, WA United StatesThis was a fantastic house for us. The interior is beautiful and had tons of space for everybody The kids loved the bunk room, and the adult bedrooms were fantastic. The kitchen had the best supplies of any vacation rental we've ever been to. Mornings on the front porch were amazing. We found the services to be excellent. We needed things from the rental office (more propane for the grill, more Tide pods, etc), and the service was always very prompt, within the hour. Everything was beyond comfortable and well-maintained.
Beachy Keen Summer 2020
Reviewed on 2020-10-03 by Miranda M. , Puyallup, WA United StatesThis home is well stocked and the location is very nice. We enjoyed being so close to the trail to the lake access. It was also easy to get to the pool. Two families stayed (4 adults and 4 kids) the kids loved the bunk room. The hot tub was great! Overall it was an enjoyable time. A few suggestions: Another reviewer mentioned this, but the dryer has issues drying even small loads of clothes. The ice maker in the main fridge was iced up and not producing ice upon arrival, we have the same fridge so we knew how to address it - and that it has a tendency to ice up - but it would be worthwhile to have this checked prior to travelers arriving. Various doors throughout the home need to be adjusted (likely due to normal settling in a new home) another reviewer mentioned the bunk room door, we experienced this as well. Lastly, it would be great to have retractable sunshades (it is extremely bright in the dining area at sunset) and also an outdoor table on the main floor deck, but that’s just a preference suggestion. This home is overall lovely.

Beachy Keen family vacation 2020
Reviewed on 2020-07-27 by , Fox Island, WA United StatesBeautiful home, well furnished and equipped. Plenty of bath & Kitchen towels which is nice. There is a plethora of games to choose from! This is a nice location as it is very close to the trail to the beach and close to the pool. Loved the pickle ball court! Enjoyed a couple afternoons of wine tastings but mostly just stayed at the Lookout location. Janet and Servando were so helpful and kind. Cons: Refrigerator kicked a circuit 4-5 times throughout the week causing warm food and had to throw out food and replace, not happy. Ice maker in fridge really did not work-thankful for downstairs ice maker.(apparently this is a previous problem) Dryer is not vented correctly (owner/builder issue) and is basically unusable as is. Maintenance was unable to fix. Def needed this. Kids Bunk room bedroom door is very hard to open when completely closed which is a fire hazard. Shades are needed on deck or nano doors to be able to enjoy a meal at the dining rm table at dinner time. For someone staying 1 full week a 1/4 cup dishwashing detergent and 5 pods for dishwasher is simply not enough supply. It was a hassle to keep asking for more. We did feel like we wasted 6-8 hours of our vacation by waiting for maintenance(dryer, refrigerator, soap) and supplies throughout the week. Enough issues to not choose this home again, sorry to say.
