Brass Monkey #74 [1]
Clean and spacious
Reviewed on 2025-03-06 by Eric C. , Shoreline, WA United StatesThis is our second time staying at Brass Monkey and the experience was very consistent. Clean, organized, good for kids. The kids toys, books, bunk beds, etc. were all great. Also, all of the towels for the pool are helpful as its only a short walk away. We also used the hot tub for the first time, while it was chilly and snow was around, which was fun for the whole family.

The only downsides are: the pans, primarily non-stick, are all super beat up, I wouldn't cook with them. The chairs/dining table situation is a little hard for younger kids.
Weekend Getaway with an extra day..
Reviewed on 2024-09-17 by James K. , Kent, WA United StatesMy family loved staying at the Brass Monkey, plenty of room for a family of 4 plus a dog. The gated patio was perfect so our dog could still walk around the patio and greet/meet those walking by, so she didn't have to be couped up inside. Even got to play a few rounds of pickle ball. We loved it so much deciding to stay an extra day.
Friend reunion
Reviewed on 2024-06-28 by Brianna H. , Otis Orchards, WA United StatesWe met up with our friends from Oregon and everyone was happy with the Lookout cottage. It was very organized and professional but also you felt like it was your own place signs everywhere and too many rules. Someone came by and checked and treated the hot tub, which was much appreciated. Perfect location to experience Chelan. Kitchen was well stocked. Can walk down to the lake.

Home away from home
Reviewed on 2024-02-26 by Eric C. , Shoreline, WA United StatesThe setup of the house was nice with a king bed, room with 4 bunk beds, and bathroom upstairs, and another king bed downstairs. The bunk bed room has a lot of toys, books, and games, in various states of completeness, but it provided a lot of entertainment for our two young ones.
Hot tub was on in the late winter/early spring time, but we didn't get a chance to use it!
Worth noting: the parking requires you to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the door, or you can walk around a steep-ish hill to go around the front which also has a few steps.
Our stay at Brass Monkey was great - everything was clean and well-maintained. There were lots of towels and sheets (and extras). The kitchen was adequately stocked (drip coffee maker with filters, kids place settings, soap etc). As with any vacation stays, if possible you should bring some of your own products like toiletries, toilet paper, and paper towels.

The setup of the house was nice with a king bed, room with 4 bunk beds, and bathroom upstairs, and another king bed downstairs. Fantastic weekend trip
Reviewed on 2024-02-20 by , Vancouver, WA United StatesWe used this rental for a bachelorette party of 9 women in February. We loved the house, plenty of space and great furnishings. The hot tub and fully equipped kitchen were especially great to have and the wii was a fun surprise. Perfect location easily walkable to town and to the community pool and pickleball court. Visiting in the offseason wasn’t crowded which was perfect. Guest services was always prompt to answer the phone for my questions. The only drawbacks were minor: the sinks continued to drip if you didn’t turn the faucet off in a certain position, there were not enough mirrors for 9 women to get ready (personally not a problem for me but my friends wanted more), and the light fixture over the dining room table was too low, but we just used the other side of the table more. Overall a great stay, affordable for a large group to split, fantastic house and location for a weekend getaway. 9/10 and we would definitely stay again in the community, same house or a different one.
Summer fun in Chelan
Reviewed on 2023-08-08 by , Snoqualmie, WA United StatesWe enjoyed our time at the Brass Monkey. Good location and close to the pool. We could see/hear how busy it was before heading down. Some days we lucked out and basically had a private pool!! Love the wrap around porch. Well stocked kitchen. Didn't care for the garbage can in the pantry. It was awkward to use. Lots of towels provided. Comfy beds! Kids loved the bunk room. We all slept well. The hot tub was way too hot. 107 degrees one day. Ouch! And after a couple days was very cloudy. I think it needed to be drained and refilled. We had a good time watching shows, making s'mores (the fire pit was a bit finicky), bbq'ing, doing puzzles, spending time at the pool and enjoying snow cones at the other pool! We love the Lookout. Can't wait to return. This was our first time staying during the summer. The Lookout offers regular shuttles down to the lake, too.
Doggie and Family Friendly with a View!
Reviewed on 2022-10-15 by Sally D. , Seattle, WA United StatesBrass Monkey was the perfect home base for our wedding planning weekend of six adults and two pups. We even hosted two sets of parents on the groom-to-be's side for dinner and everyone fit around the dining room table. The deck was perfect for appetizers and drinks with the cozy fireplace. Beds were super comfy and the hot tub gave us all that end of the day relief we needed after a long day of venue searching. Loved that the deck could be closed off so our little four-legged angels didn't go exploring the neighborhood on their own! Great stay :)

Loved our stay at The Lookout
Reviewed on 2021-09-25 by David K. , Ferndale, WA USOur rental was lovely and the amenities you get with the Lookout community is amazing! The house and the hot tub were sparkling clean and it’s a short walk to the pool, jacuzzi, fire pit, and pickle ball court. We even took the golf cart shuttle down to the lake one day and it’s absolutely beautiful. We loved the attention to detail on the landscaping with each house having a string of vines in the front yard and lots of green space in between houses. We wakes to Vin Du Loc winery for lunch and tastings. Will definitely stay here again!

Fabulous Trip to Lake Chelan
Reviewed on 2021-06-20 by Rachel K. , Seattle, WA United StatesWe loved our stay at Brass Monkey. The house itself was very comfortable and had all the amenities we wanted. The bunk room was full of fun games and toys that our kids really enjoyed. The house is conveniently located near the pool. Although there was construction happening next door, it was never loud and our kids loved watching the "diggers" working. The hot tub on the patio was a relaxing spot to unwind after putting the kids to bed. The house was very clean, although I would recommend that the management deep clean the rug in the living had a strong dog odor that was noticeable when sitting on the rug. The only downside of the house is that there are no blackout curtains in the bedrooms, so it gets very bright early in the mornings and stays bright late into the evenings. Our two little kids had a bit of trouble with their sleep schedules due to the light. But overall I would definitely recommend Brass Monkey and we hope to stay here again in the future!

Birthday celebration - Great central location for visiting Chelan
Reviewed on 2021-05-04 by Ryan B. , Seattle, WA United StatesI booked this house for a surprise birthday celebration for my significant other and a group of her closest friends. She was absolutely thrilled with this house from arrival to departure. The house itself is wonderful for gathering a group of people, making a big dinner and simply enjoying the space itself. We had 2 couples and 2 individuals and every one was very comfortable. My SO and I took the downstairs room and had plenty of privacy and space during our stay. The deck outside in the morning was fantastic for coffee and the hot tub was pristinely clean. (It gets HOT though you don't need as high a temperature in this hot tub as others I've enjoyed). Once we got out for winery touring, we were pleased to see how close everything was. We never had to drive more than 15 minutes to get anywhere. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and had were almost sad to go home. Thank you Brass Monkey!!

Overall Ok
Reviewed on 2021-04-28 by Megan L. , Renton, WA USThe house was great and location near town. The downsides were 1) there was construction literally in our back yard every day, including the weekend. The website says there is construction in the community, but there should be additional notices if there will be construction attached to the house you're staying. The trucks literally parked in our spots. It was loud and distracting all day. 2) The table in the living room is flaking and it's metal, it cut a few people. Lastly, there are no key cards, so there was no way to get into the pool, should leave a key card in the house with remote check in. Otherwise, the house was great, and the stay was nice.

The house has a big porch that’s perfect for hanging outside with friends. The Adirondack chairs are also perfect for an afternoon happy hour. The kids skateboarded through the neighborhood and had fun playing the wii. The evenings were chilly so the hot tub came in handy. The kitchen had everything we needed and I loved the big kitchen table for both eating and working. My only complaint was the dishwasher didn’t clean the dishes very well. There was also a lot of construction which we were warned about but I didn’t realize all the new homes being built in the Lookout.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brass Monkey. We specifically chose this house because of the two king size beds - perfect for two families traveling together! The kitchen was mostly stocked with everything we could ever need (however, randomly did not have a baking sheet) and our two little boys (ages 7 months at 11 months) had the best time playing and walking/strolling to the new swimming pool just a block a way from the house.
