Amazing Home!

Hosted a dinner and had everything we needed to accommodate a very large crowd. Beautifully decorate, peaceful and the location, perfect.

The location cannot be beat. Steps to the pool/coffee shop, 2 blocks from the shuttle to the lake, and across the street from the park. We had an issue with the door lock but the maintenance staff was quick, kind & helpful. We absolutely will be coming back and can’t recommend Chelan Landing at The Lookout enough!

Great Location

The living room is very small and comfortably sat about 8. The sectional sofa was pretty worn and had crumbs and cheerios between the cushions, and a good amount of the other furniture in the house were old and didn’t match the quality of the home.
We utilized the 2 sleeper sofas in the basement but they didn’t have ample bedding for them. The guestbook says there are bedding sets for the sleeper sofa in the basement king room but there weren’t any, so we used baby blankets they had in an upstairs room and couch pillows for sleeping.
The house itself is beautiful and pretty new. The carriage house in the driveway is being worked on and we had to move our car out of the way for the construction workers one of the days.
We loved the 2 ‘master’ suites, that was very nice to have for our large group. Views from this house are amazing, mountains, the lake, sunsets..
Overall the house felt too small for our size of group but the whole neighborhood is amazing.

Regarding the seating arrangements, we're sorry the seating arrangement did not meet the needs of your large group. The rental listing photos show that the inside of the home can comfortably seat several more people than the home's maximum sleeping capacity. The main level great room comfortably seats 9-10, its dining area has 8 chairs, and its kitchen island seats 4. The lower-level sofas comfortably sleep 6 and the lower-level dining area seats 8. There are also 16 seats on the home's wraparound porch when the weather allows. Although the house can comfortably sleep 16 and seat even more, for larger group needs we recommend adding the property's "Lookout Tower" cottage, which has an additional king suite, game room, and great room.
We're sorry the sofa bedding sets were not properly stored in its intended location and the sofa was not properly cleaned before your arrival. 95% of the furniture was purchased new for the home as it was built. The sofa that appeared old was damaged during a rental just before this one and its replacement was not able to arrive before your arrival.

Beautiful Home, Great Location

The location across from the pool can't be beat, and the large kitchen made it easy to all hang out. It's so close to downtown Chelan, we loved being able to run to the Drive-In for burgers, or grab coffee. The only complaint is that guests cannot park at the house, they have to park in the lower lot which was a bit inconvenient. But the management company was really helpful with that and anything else we needed.

It took multiple calls to the front office and a full 24 hours had gone by before they came and took care of this. Every time I called I would get the "We are on the way to fix this" and it wasnt until the afternoon of the following day before they did.
This is a small detail but I thought it was worth noting, they stock the house with the cheapest/lowest quality possible paper towels and toilet paper they could get their hands on. I have been in gas station bathrooms with nicer stuff.
Youd think when a guest spends $12,000 for a weeks stay that the AC would work, the service from staff would be somewhat prompt for repairs etc. I have not had an experience like this in the past staying at the lookout, I really hope it was a one time thing.
This was my 3rd time staying at The Lookout, first time in this particular home. The very first thing I noticed when we checked in was how warm it was inside the house when we arrived, not a huge deal I thought, I will just turn the temp on the AC down and the house would cool off. Found the HVAC controller on the wall both upstairs and on the main level and the temp inside the house showed to be 77 degrees and it was set at 68 with no air coming from the vents. I called the office to let them know there was an issue with this and they said they would send someone up to look at it. We asked if they had some portable units we could use in the time being and they said yes and they would send them up... Portable units never showed, an HVAC tech was dispacthed to the house later that day and said filters needed to be changed. Filters were changed, still no change in AC performance in the house at all. It wasnt terrible during the day (should've been much better) but at night when youre trying to sleep and its 77 degrees in the house made for some uncomfortability with myself and my guests.<br/><br/>Second issue was a fire alarm in the lower master bedroom with a low battery alarm, constantly beeping day and night. Chelan Landing vacation rental

The only problem we have and it needs to be looked at is the water heater. Water was luke warm, called maintenance and they said the water heater is a heat pump water heater and it needs a larger room to vent in. The room it is in is too small. We had to leave the door open, it was very noisy for the sleepers down stairs. The bigger issue is the temperature downstairs, because the heat pump take the heat from the air and warms the water, the downstairs area was like a refrigerator, it was at least 15 degrees colder than the rest of the house. This needs to be fixed.

Chelan Landing offers guests privacy, situated between its “Lookout Tower” cottage house (additionally available to rent) and a pocket park. It sits between two pathways down to the marina, beach, basketball court, pickleball courts, and walking trails.
The main level has a spacious open floor plan with abundant natural light and 360-degree views. Large windows and multiple French doors expand the living space outdoors to a covered wraparound porch. The upper level has the home’s most breathtaking views. The king suite has an adjoining covered porch with a sectional sofa and a bar seating area for entertaining or work-from-home.
