Great place
Reviewed on 2025-04-18 by kim M. , Sammamish, WA United StatesI enjoyed staying here. The house had everything you needed and was so clean. We will recommend this place.
Great house. Bad experience.
Reviewed on 2025-04-05 by , Freeland, WA United StatesGolden Hour was a beautiful and well equipped home. We chose it because of its proximity to the pool and hot tub. Unfortunately the day we arrived we received a text the hot tub would be closed the rest of the week. Another hot tub with no pool on the other side of the resort was our alternative. Not having a hot tub next to the pool made the pool unusable because of the weather. When I called the property manager about it I was told that they gave us proper notice and there was another hot tub available so there was nothing more they could do. If I can’t make changes to my rental reservation up to 7 days before my arrival, one days notice on your end is unacceptable. The hot tub across the resort is not a replacement. I paid more to stay at the Lookout rather than other nearby options for the amenities. The closure was a big bummer and it would be nice if the management did more to compensate.
Perfect spot for families
Reviewed on 2024-08-12 by , Sammamish, WA United StatesThe property was perfect for our family of 5 with 3 young children and a small dog. It was immaculately clean, loaded with amenities, perfect proximity to the pool, easy parking and check-in/check out process.
Family vacation at the Golden Hour
Reviewed on 2024-06-27 by , Ferndale, WA United StatesOverall great stay at the Golden Hour. The furniture and cooking utensils could use an upgrade. We cooked meals and there were very few pots and pans to cook with and none that would hold much capacity. The rooms upstairs could use some better blinds or curtains for privacy (guest bathroom has no curtain, and masters curtains barely fit width of window). But overall, we loved the location close to the pool and shuttle.
Family Friendly Fun
Reviewed on 2024-05-14 by , Port Orchard, WA United StatesFrom our perspective the only downside was that the sun peeked through the master bedroom prior to our liking (we normally aren’t waking up before 6-ish). If there was a way to cover the top ‘triangle’ of the window with a shade it’s be a huge win.
Our family(2 adult, 1 toddler, and 2 dogs) enjoyed the stay at Golden Hour. This is our second stay at the Lookout and the Golden Hours proximity to the pool, park, etc. is perfect! Our toddler loved the soft blocks, well the bucket the blocks come in, and for sure carrying around the custom coasters! Our pups enjoyed the cooling polished concrete floors after a hotter than we’re used to outing. For us we enjoyed the decor, overall space planning, and broad amenities this location offers.

From our perspective the only downside was that the sun peeked through the master bedroom prior to our liking (we normally aren’t waking up before 6-ish). Golden Hour is beautifully situated, with great pool access. While the interiors are quite cheap—the faux bronze cooking utensils are literally plastic where they are supposed to be metal—the decor is cute and
it works. Perfect little escape
Reviewed on 2022-08-16 by Kelly L. , Gig Harbor, WA United StatesWe had our former Swedish exchange student and nephew visiting us during this visit. Both boys are in their 20s. They first didn't know what to think about the Lookout...describing it as looking like the set of the "Truman Show". However, the boys ended up loving this stay. They utilized the pickle ball courts, pools, basketball courts and we rented a boat. It was the perfect little weekend escape!

Golden stay at Golden Hour
Reviewed on 2022-08-06 by , Lake Stevens, WA United StatesGolden hour was clean and all amenities needed were available even the small stuff that you never thought you needed until you do. The location and being in the corner lot was great and allowed me to do my morning workouts by the sidewalk with a spectacular view!
I am impressed with Golden Hour, and our small dog enjoyed the AC in the house too.
The only recommendation I have for Golden Hour is to install blinds in the bedroom upstairs. I think this is important because the sun hits the bedroom windows and it gets pretty bright very early. There are houses being built across from Golden Hour, and I wasn’t aware of this when I booked. This was fine, but would be nice to know beforehand. On our 2nd day, I was woken up at 6:00 am by construction noise. I understand work needs to be done, but 6:00 am is way too early to be hammering on the roof. That said, this was not a fault by Golden Hour, and I would stay there again. Please install blinds upstairs for our next trip there :-)
It was our first time in Chelan, and no better place to stay than the Lookout. The check-in process was a breeze, and Golden Hour was centrally located to all the amenities the resort has to offer.

Golden hour was clean and all amenities needed were available even the small stuff that you never thought you needed until you do. Fun lake retreat
Reviewed on 2022-07-24 by , Stillwater, MN United StatesWe had a great time at Golden Hour within The Lookout. The house was very cute and well stocked with everything we needed, and the location was perfect for getting to the pool, lake, or winery. We were disappointed that we weren't given a heads up on the construction across the street which did impact our relaxation and ability to sleep in.

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Lookout! At Golden Hour this home features a modern kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals and entertain guests. Upstairs offers two bedrooms featuring striking cathedral windows, each with its own fully stocked bathroom and shower. The home is also located in our Vineyard district. It has a view of the vineyard pool (which is just a few steps away). The Lookout community is growing and there may be construction activity during your stay. Construction hours vary by season but will fall between 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We always have this disclaimer on all of our rental pages just so all guests are aware. We apologize for any inconvenience during your stay, but we hope you come back for future gateways. - The Lookout.

Not quite ready.
Reviewed on 2021-10-25 by , Tacoma, WA United StatesThis was exacerbated by the fact that the Golden Hour unit has no blinds or shades on any of the windows save the two bedrooms, which was a major privacy issue given the construction taking place in the area surrounding the property. There are no blinds in the master bathroom, with a clear line of sight straight into the shower. None of the downstairs windows have any shades, which eliminates any chance of privacy as construction is ongoing.
The view to the lake was also blocked by fencing and construction vehicles the entire stay, and the outdoor space was unusable during the day due to construction noise and dust.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Lookout and this specific property was clean and well-appointed. That said, the construction near our unit is much more extensive than indicated on the website.

This was exacerbated by the fact that the Golden Hour unit has no blinds or shades on any of the windows save the two bedrooms, which was a major privacy issue given the construction taking place in the area surrounding the property. Chelan Trip
Reviewed on 2021-09-30 by , Seattle, WA United StatesEverything was wonderful and we had a great experience. The only negative is the bed in the Master bedroom. It was the hardest, most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever laid on. I guess some people might like that, but not us.
Convenient rental
Reviewed on 2021-08-12 by , seattle, WA United StatesThe place did the job. We were excited to get a rental as they book up fast. I think this one had just got purchased and put up to rent. There were no blinds or curtains on the first floor. Felt like we were in a fish bowl. The next phase of homes were being built and the workers were there at 6am. There was no privacy walking around. Also, had to tape up garbage bags over my sons room so he could sleep for naps so it wasn’t so bright.
Wonderful
Reviewed on 2021-08-07 by kelvin w. , Bellevue, WA United StatesWe really loved The Lookout and our rental Golden hour!! We will definitely go back. The only thing that was lacking for the Lookout is that it does not have any option to charge an EV around their facility.
