I would recommend this property to anyone. It worked well for us.
Our stay went very well. We had our dog with us so the fenced in yard was perfect. Quick family getaway
Reviewed on 2024-07-23 by Lisa B. , SAMMAMISH, WA United StatesEnjoyed our 3-night stay at the Northern Lights. Was perfect for the 4 of us, plus our pup. Loved the backyard area...hot tub, ping pong table, fire pit. Perfect location near pool and easy walk to the lake shuttle. Gated yard was extra nice so our dog could be free. Front gate needs repair, nails were protruding and it didn't latch. That would be my only negative. Would recommend to any small family!

The home was sparkling clean and not an amenity was over looked. There was even a dog bowl set and mat for them. Thank you for all the details. The ping pong table consumed so much of our time as well as the toasty hot tub. Thank you for all the arrival and stay details. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
Cozy Charmer!
Reviewed on 2024-05-27 by , Snohomish , WA United StatesThis place was perfect for our family of 4 and dog. We really enjoyed the outdoor space in the back with great seating, ping pong and hot tub. The fenced in property was perfect for our dog to roam and stay with us while we were outside. The location of the property is great and since there is no current building in the area so it was nice and quiet. The property management was responsive when we needed help with the hot tub, and immediately helped us out. We would stay here again!

Northern lights great location with awesome amenities. However construction at 118 started at 630 am in the morning! On three of the days we stayed there. I messaged the main office several times and never heard back from them. The upper pools hot tub was out of service and there was yellow caution tape around the pool. Northern lights is a great spot but I wouldn’t want to be woken up by construction at 630 am on vacation

Good for a petite family!
Reviewed on 2022-10-11 by Christina W. , SEATTLE, WA United StatesSecond summer renting at Lookout, first in Northern Lights. House was perfect size and location for our small family of mom/dad/toddler. Our daughter’s pack and play fit perfectly in the bunk room. House was great except for a couple inconvenience: first, something is wrong with the AC. Temp would be comfortable upstairs at 72 but the bedrooms would be absolutely freezing - 58 according to our daughter’s baby monitor! So we had to crank up the temp to 78 at night so we wouldn’t freeze downstairs. Additionally, the sheer window coverings are fine upstairs but almost useless in the bedrooms for light blocking and privacy - would definitely recommend some kind of upgrade. Layout is slightly strange in that the only way to the patio from the house is though the queen bedroom, but it worked. Slightly frustrating to use the grill on the patio, too. In the 100 degree heat, we didn’t want to eat outside so I had to drag food up and down the stairs through the bedroom. Kitchen was impeccably clean and well stocked, though. Overall good stay with minor inconveniences - will definitely be back next summer but will probably try a bigger rental house as we’ll be a family of 4 by then!

I specifically told them that we are packing up and so please sent someone after 11 AM. the next thing I know is that some random guy just walked in on me and said that he had come to fix the issue. I think that was totally inappropriate and unacceptable specially when you have teen kids traveling with you.
I would start first by saying that it was one of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed in. Extremely comfortable and well maintained. We booked this unit fairly last minute so we chose it because it was one of two homes available. It was perfect. Super quiet and our family (2adults, 2 kids) had just the right amount of space. It’s in the middle of both pools and a fairly easy walk to the lake shuttle. We booked the Northern Lights, but it wasn't our first choice (we waited too long to book). But after staying there, it will be on the top of our list for next time. First, it is one of only a few fully fenced places - peace of mind when out on the patio with the dog. Second, the three of us (me, wife, kid) could find private space to hang during down times - the patio is surprisingly quaint and functional, the deck upstairs is same, and even though the footprint is small, the living room and kitchen provide discrete spaces to read/work/whatever. Finally, the views from the patio and deck were quite pleasant.

We had a weird mix-up on the wifi password which was abundantly annoying, but the property staff sleuthed it out and got us up and running.

All in, after walking the entire Lookout multiple times, we felt we got the best place for our needs - totally on accident.

Reviewed on 2020-10-04 by Mindy K. , Seattle, WA United StatesThe landscaping and outdoor furniture at our cottage were gorgeous & welcoming. We especially enjoyed the firepit & spent a lot of time there: s’mores, cuddling, talking, and morning coffee. The hot tub was nice, but very public, our neighbors were gathering overlooking in several windows, which made is less relaxing. Loved the fully fenced yard for traveling with our small dog! Having the detached garage made packing up super convenient.
Inside we really enjoyed the floor plan and views from the upper deck. However, we found the beds very uncomfortable (springy & sagging, neither my husband or I slept well all 3 nights) and the master too crowded with benches that it felt very tiny & tight. This being the only access to outside from downstairs, we would have liked space to navigate. Overall the decor was underwhelming. New mattresses, bedding, & neutral dishes would make it feel more vacationy. We didn’t like all the locked cabinets & drawers. We HIT our heads on the stair light multiple times.
Our biggest disappointment was that the gas fireplace was turned off as the sticker said “for the season” even though it was Fall. It was raining all weekend and we would have greatly enjoyed an indoor fire while watching TV. It was part of the reason we chose this house, so that was misleading. It was frustrating not to be able to use something right there. Management never checked in with us once, which we felt was not good customer service. Northern Lights is a charming cottage with a vintage cabin feel nestled in the North Cottages area of the Lookout. It's just the right size for a couple or small family to enjoy a memorable vacation with all the comforts of home, and its compact footprint allows its outdoor space to live essentially.
The fully fenced, gated yard provides an enclosed space to relax outdoors, and the patio can accommodate friends and family staying in multiple Lookout homes. You'll find comfortable outdoor seating, whether you bask in the sun or lounge in the shade.
Play a friendly game of ping-pong. Take a stroll on the paved trail into town. Swim in the Vineyard Pool with a splash pad and hot tub just around the corner. Head over to the pickleball or basketball courts. Or… stock up the patio cooler and go nowhere. The choice is yours!
When you're ready to get out on the lake, the marina and beach cove is a scenic half-mile walk away. Taking the hilltop shuttle cuts the walking distance in half. Boat slips can be rented at the Lookout marina for your boat, or you can rent a variety of crafts, personal watercraft, SUPs, or kayaks from Shoreline Watercraft on site.
Whether Northern Lights is your home base or the destination, you'll find what you need in the fully equipped kitchen. Gather around the built-in banquette or dine outdoors on the covered deck. If you'd instead grill out, stairs from the home's front door will lead you to a high-quality grill and bar-height bistro dining table. The deck and patio outdoor dining tables offer eye-catching lake and mountain views.
After a day of outdoor adventures, warm up by the fire and roast s'mores in the in-ground stone fire pit. Gaze at the starry sky from the private hot tub.
When it's time to retreat indoors, the main level living room with vaulted ceilings is a warm, cheerful space to unwind. For indoor entertainment, there's an HD Smart TV with cable and an Xbox One for online gaming or watching movies.
The bedroom opens to the sheltered patio on the lower level through a view door. A Smart TV with cable in the bedroom has an Xbox One for gaming and movies. The adjacent bunk room and full bathroom are ideal for families with younger children.
Northern Lights is easily accessible from Bighorn Way. The oversized detached garage in the alley below the home provides dedicated, secure parking for one vehicle and extra space to stow gear. On-street parking is available for one additional car (no trailers or RVs).
PETS: Up to two potty-trained and well-behaved dogs are welcome at Northern Lights, provided they are crated when unattended. No puppies.
