Reviewed on 2023-06-30 by Josh C. , Sammamish, WA United StatesWe found some dead spiders on the main kitchen counter later. The outside of the house also appeared to have nests, as did multiple houses around us. They have some serious pest control issues that need resolved before they take more guests. Aside from that, most everything was nice, but they could have used some better pans - the pans in the kitchen are no longer "non-stick" as they are getting up there in age. They could have used a few more things in the kitchen too. Lastly, I always have a problem with places that do not have fans available to use. Fortunately I always bring my own. That's expected, but I guess the point is - they didn't go above and beyond on the amenties....just covered the basics. No pool towels or ice machine like other units had. No extra amenities in general to be honest. For the price I had to pay to stay here, it should be nothing but the best. But the spider issue and handling of the issue including the time to resolution was really the thing that knocks this down for me. Ain't nobody got time for dat.
The rental was great for the most part, but there were some key things that could have used some big improvement. Number one is the maintenance responsiveness. On our second day, we noticed that in the center of the main room with double tall vaulted ceilings, there were TWENTY spider nests along the entire ceiling. No joke. We called immediately, and they took two hours to come address it after multiple repeat calls asking where they were. Then the guys who came to clean it brought a duster. Not a vacuum....a duster. And it was about 6 feet long. They left, came back with a slightly larger pole that was still too small, left again, and finally came back with one that was big enough. They brushed them all off, but I have no idea if any escaped, and the guy even pointed out one that was hanging down from the duster....then it hit the ground and disappeared.<br/>We found some dead spiders on the main kitchen counter later. Reviewed on 2023-06-09 by William S. , Eagle, ID United StatesAbsolutely a wonderful place to stay in a great location. Only issue is the garage is located on the downhill side of the property requiring lots of stairs from the garage to the main floor. My wife's 91 year old mother traveled with us and uses a walker. It was extremely difficult to get her up the stairs from the garage. Suggest a comment about he stairs in the property description. Otherwise outstanding and we will be back.
Family Fun and Fantastic Accommodations
Reviewed on 2022-09-24 by Tammy S. , Spokane, WA United StatesI could not be more impressed. The process for renting, checking in, and being kept apprised of the activities being held at the Lookout were exceptional. We were so impressed with the home we rented. We loved the location, the views, the front green space for kids to play, and the proximity to the pools. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed to enjoy our time. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well supplied with utensils and everything we needed to get our week started. If I had a question, there was always someone available to answer. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Customer service

We appreciate the review! Sandy Cheeks is a beautifully furnished home with plenty of amenities for the whole family. Not only is there a large green grassy area for everyone to enjoy there is also a private beach cove for our guest to use, heated pool & hot tub, and a playground for kids to play on. We always try our best to give guest memorable experiences here at The Lookout.
Sweet family vacation
Reviewed on 2022-07-17 by Dominique S. , Lynnwood, WA United StatesWe loved staying in Sandy Cheeks with our 2-year-old. The house is not necessarily set up for a little kid - we did wish there was a bathtub instead of 2 stand-up showers - but ultimately we all loved the house. It's a great location right off the grassy area and a short walk to playgrounds and pools - very centrally located without being right next to any super noisy spots. The house was very clean and very comfortable - the beds are great, and the kitchen is stocked with everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay
Reviewed on 2021-10-05 by Kimberly S. , Washington, WA United StatesAlthough we loved it, to help picky travelers, the only things that would make this property better is if it had a more expansive view of the lake (there's a view off the deck through other houses) and neighbors weren't quite so close (very compact neighborhood). We were aware of both elements as the pictures are really accurate.
Beautiful property in Chelan that is well maintained, clean and fresh - we really enjoyed it and would recommend it! Reviewed on 2021-08-22 by Laura C. , Sammamish, WA United StatesWe really enjoyed our stay at Livin Part of Life. Reviewed on 2021-05-27 by Lynne H. , SEATTLE, WA United StatesExcellent rental home- as pictured, well-stocked, comfortable beds, excellent location on the park. Construction is ongoing in this part of the Lookout, but the noise was minimal with the windows closed. Great house, but the view is now blocked..
Reviewed on 2021-05-05 by Brian L. , Lake Forest Park, WA United StatesThe house was great, but the photos are a bit deceiving. From the hot tub you won’t see the lack, but rather the fence or the house that was built across the street. It was one of the deciding factors in choosing this home. Despite this, the hone was wonderful and well equipped. The neighborhood is amazing and we will definitely be back. The advantage of being there is we were able to walk around and get a better idea of where we want to stay the next time.

New Years Stay
Reviewed on 2021-01-06 by , BONNEY LAKE, WA United StatesThe rental was spacious and very clean. We appreciated the view of the lake, indoor fireplace and outdoor BBQ. A couple of issues: access to the house is difficult, especially in the winter, uphill in the snow as you are only able to access the garage through the inside of the house, the heat pump right next to the master bedroom resulted in sleepless nights, lack of kitchen essentials such as a lipped baking sheet and lidded containers, also basic items would be helpful, like saran wrap and tin foil. In previous stays at the Lookout other houses were well stocked with basic supplies which made life in the kitchen much more convenient. If staying in the winter be aware that that the walk to the hot tub can be very dangerous, there was salt on the porch that we poured on the ice but it was still slippery. FYI the fridge appeared to be new and worked well! Recommend visiting Echo Valley for recreation, the kids had a great time.
The perfect Fall getaway!
Reviewed on 2020-10-10 by Heidi S. , Seattle, WA United StatesThe house was as advertised, clean, fresh and well appointed. We loved the outlook overlooking the common green. Very relaxing sitting on the front porch in the mornings. The larger shared pool was an easy walk through beautifully landscaped walking paths. The Lookout's location close to town meant we were able to do the river walk and enjoy walking to Kave Coffee every morning for delicious pastries on their outdoor patio (love this little spot). We are looking forward to coming back again in the spring.

Nice, but...
Reviewed on 2020-10-06 by VICKY S. , Seattle, WA United StatesIn previous reviews, there were issues with the refrigerator temperature. I would have thought months later, the problem would be fixed. The temperature was not cold, our food spoiled creating extra expense and inconvenience. I requested it to be serviced for normal operation. Maintenance came into unit without wearing masks or gloves, touching surfaces and not trying to social distance. They said this has been an ongoing issue and use the refrigerator in the garage. For the cost of renting, this is unacceptable. Also, no garage door opener as stated in notebook. Needed to call for code. Unfortunately the construction across the street started at 7:15 AM, not 8 AM as told. Lots of noise and diesel smell to wake up to. Even with those downfalls, we enjoyed our time and the area. The house was clean and comfortable.

Management called ahead of time to let us know the fridge was broken so there was one in the garage we could use but we ended up having no issues with the main fridge - which was good because it's actually 2 staircases to get down to the garage. Loved sitting on the porch with coffee in the morning & wine at night. The huge dining table comfortably fit us for meals. Played cornhole on the lawn in the evenings!
