Better Lake Than Never

Welcome to Better Lake Than Never (BLTN) where memories are made to last a lifetime. This 3-story, 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath home was fashioned with three concepts in mind; family, friends, and memories. This home offers 2500+ sq ft of fun and relaxation. Whether you want to unwind on the porch, BBQ on the deck, watch a movie in one of the media rooms or play a game of pool in the other, this home offers it all. BLTN features a variety of sleeping configurations.

The main floor provides a master suite with a King bed, extra closet space, and a 4-piece (double vanity) en suite bathroom. In addition, prepare your meals in the spacious kitchen with Whirlpool appliances while serving on the island or large dining table while viewing the lake. Gather around the fireplace for an evening of conversation or watch a movie on the 55” TV.

The upper level provides a Queen bedroom and Twin XL (with trundle) Bunk room. These rooms each have their own en-suite bathroom. To complete the upper level there is a media room with a 55” TV with a Blu-Ray player.

The expansive lower level has additional bedrooms that include another Queen bedroom and a Twin XL Bunk room (with Trundle). Movie watching doesn’t get any better in the lower level with a 65” TV, Blu-Ray player, and BOSE surrounds sound to enhance your movie experience. Not to worry about laundry needs, we offer extra large capacity washers and dryers, and utility sinks.

Solar blinds finish off all common area windows, while bedrooms and bathrooms have 2” wood blinds. Additionally, BLTN compromises high-speed Wi-Fi, lake towels, an outdoor seating area, and water toys. Enjoy a short walk to the park, courts, pool, fire pit, or the lake itself.

Pets are NOT Allowed at this time.

The Lookout community is growing and there may be construction activity during your stay. Construction hours vary by season but will fall between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. Please contact Lookout Cottage Rentals at with any questions or concerns.

Nice home with large bedrooms and plenty of space to relax. Porch and fire pit great to make s’mores and relax at the end of the day with a peek-a-boo view from the deck of the lake. Downsides are a smaller kitchen with really only enough for two people to fit in and the dishwasher is old and doesn’t try well which made it hard to run to keep up with dishes. Thermostat cannot be changed but it was a comfortable temperature on the main and lower level. Upper level does not have as good AC and gets hot.

We were a party of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids) and had a great time at this house. The bed/bath count gave all us adults privacy, and the kids loved the bunkbed setup. We hung out on the back deck most evenings and used both the gas grill and the fire feature. Instructions from the management company were concise and helpful. Kitchen is really well equipped. We loved the ease of the free shuttle down to the lake and ended up renting a boat on our final day. So fun!

We enjoyed this house. It was perfect for three families. We had our joint space and then all had our own space. Loved the location and view. I will say like others that the upstairs does get VERY hot. It was 80 degrees up there the first night. Thankfully we brought fans and we were able to keep it pretty cool for the rest of the trip. But I think if the house is going to advertise A/C the upstairs should also be cool. Also a few maintenance things, there's a tiny nail sticking out in the carpet in the entry of the main suite, a few of us kept stepping on it. Also the floor in the main suite was wet when we got there? I'm assuming they shampooed the carpet but it was definitely weird to walk into when we got there.
Overall, we loved this house and I would recommend but the upstairs does need some type of cooling!

The house was great for grandparents plus two families with children. Each family had a TV room on their floor. The deck was a wonderful gathering place. The large pool was a short walk away. A very clean, lovely house. Every year we eat at Sorrentos restaurant. It is kid friendly and the view is awesome!

We really enjoyed staying at Better Lake Than Never! It was wonderful for our family get away. It was just the right amount of space for our group of 10 and the pool table was so fun for the kids. The large outdoor couch and gas fire pit on the back porch made for a really fun way to end the evening watching the sun go down over the mountains and lake. It was truly breath-taking! We highly recommend Better Lake Than Never for a large group!

Please Note - this does not needed to be include for a formal review online... the home needs electric beaters for the kitchen (no way to mix things except by hand) and the light bulbs in the dining table chandelier kitchen table were blindingly bright, so we could not turn on the light over the dining table. Those are just some easy fixes that need addressing.

We have stayed in a house at the Lookout with two other families for the past five years and love it every time. This was our first time staying in Better Lake Than Never and it didn't disappoint. The house was in good condition and the floor plan was well laid out to accommodate all of us. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the home! 3 floors plenty of room. Our only disappointment was no air conditioning on the 3 rd floor. We were there during 90+ days and the ceiling fans aren’t enough . Extremely hot and we had to purchase a box fan . The bunk bed room on the 3 rd floor was the hottest!

Was so pleasantly impressed with how spacious, detailed and the home was as described. My family and I booked this last minute and was not expecting to find a place big enough while in Chelan. This home was more than we expected....from the outdoor fire pits to the fully equipped kitchen. Truly made the stay so comfortable and not to mention the welcoming neighborhood/pools. I would definitely recommend this home and any home in that neighborhood.

We loved the back sitting area with a little flame to toast marshmallows and watch Venus set over the hills after the sunset! Spectacular!

We had a great time! House was a little tight for the number of people we had, but it was great. If we travel with that many again, I would suspect we would get a bigger house, but overall the stay was relaxing, great and it was a very nice house.

We take a family vacation to Chelan every year and have stayed in many different places over the years. This year, we were happy to find so many options at the Lookout. Better Lake Than Never worked perfectly for our group. We had three couples and two children. There was plenty of space for everyone and the house was in great condition. The only thing I would change about the house is that I would have the two bunk rooms upstairs instead of one upstairs and one downstairs. The pool is an easy walk and the shuttle to the beach was very quick to arrive after calling them. The central location of the Lookout allows for easy trips to wineries and parks near by. It's just a short walk down the hill to Vin Du Lac, one of our favorite wineries. We're looking forward to returning to the Lookout next year.

Clean and spacious home, a lot of stairs so be careful with little kiddies. We had ordered two cribs and was disappointed to not have it when we checked in, so we had to call and have them delivered.

We loved our stay here! It rained one of the days so it was great to have Tons of room for the kids to play with the top floor and the bottom floor and gave everyone their own space. We love staying at The Lookout. Getting away during distancing time was essential for us. Better Lake Than Never took care of many of our needs! Kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need. Although there was plenty of space, the living area felt cramped with all of the furniture there (two sofas plus two large single seats). It felt like some of the decor was just recently placed as you could see tags hanging from tables and baskets, a bit tacky! Doors creaked when it got warm (please oil ALL of the doors) inside. And the mattress covers, we aren't going to wet the bed, please don't use the crinkly plastic kind! It would've been nice to be able to access the bikes that were locked downstairs (what's the code?). So much space for 8 people to spread out on the three floors, that was very nice. The listing description compared to the photo descriptions were not matching; I hope they corrected that error (the bunk rooms are not all on one floor, that would be an absolute disaster, could you imagine??). 5 bedrooms is clearly a must-have. Take care of the squeaky doors and the plastic mattress covers, I'll give you FIVE STARS.

Our vacation to Chelan was a great escape from the city. The house was perfect for us, warm and cozy (as it was winter). The hot tub and pool provided endless fun for the kiddos.
