What do you get when you combine tennis, badminton, and ping-pong? Pickleball! This lively sport was invented here in Washington by three dads in 1965. After not being able to find a shuttlecock for a game of badminton, they started to improvise: lowering the net, using a Wiffle ball, and creating paddles out of plywood. Over 50 years later, this is one of America's most popular sports for all ages.
We have two pickleball courts at The Lookout. The first is located near the clubhouse in Lookout Park with the second located on the hillside overlooking our waterfront. Paddles and balls are provided.
If you become hooked like many of our owners and guests, you might want to return over Labor Day Weekend for our annual Pickleball Tournament.
